The More I Exercise My Abs, The More I Burn Extra Fat There… Is That True?

Partly right but not completely! Many make the mistake of assuming in this manner. This is a bit tricky!

For example, some people prefer to do plenty of sit ups. They are under the impression that the fat around the belly area will (hopefully) generate energy. Exercising a particular area does not guarantee that you will end up losing fat there. As I have mentioned previously, we do not have a say over where the fat loss will take place. All you can do is to exercise more so that the overall fat comes down. Also, don’t forget that sit ups are a type of anaerobic exercise. They are better at burning carbohydrates. Exercising the whole body at an even pace ensures consistent burning of fat.
