Should I Workout Before I Eat?Who told you that exercise must precede eating? There is a tradition that says that you should always workout first thing in the morning. While this can be good in that it boosts your metabolism for the entire day, I want you to understand that you can exercise whenever is best for you. This means that during your lunch break or the end of the day is going to be just about as good as if you exercised at the beginning of the day.
The starvation workout is a holdover from the 1980s aerobic doctrine that said you had to do long, slow cardio for up to an hour a day six days a week. If you want to work out before eating, go for it, but if you find that you can’t concentrate for being so hungry, eat something! The only limiting factor is that you don’t want to have too much food in your belly in order to avoid bad cramps and aches
