I’ve Dieted And Exercised For Months. Why Doesn’t It Look Like I’ve Lost Much Fat?

There are 2 classes of fat cells: the ones under our ‘dermis’ or skin is referred to as the subcutaneous fat while the ones that we store in our body cavity and, to a lesser extent, in our muscles are collectively known as ‘internal fat’. The internal or visceral fat in the body cavity serves to act as a safety buffer for the internal organs.

We are all different – some of us have to burn of substantially more subcutaneous fat than others. Others have more internal fat to lose. Depending on the type of fat that you are endowed with, you will be burning a considerable portion of it before moving on to other areas. Perhaps that is why you do not see any noticeable results. Don’t be discouraged! Rest assured that once internal fat is dealt with, your subcutaneous fat will be next in line.
